நான் ஒரு electrical engineer. EEE diploma முடிச்சுட்டு, சென்னை, வட இந்தியா, நைஜீரியா, ஜாம்பியான்னு பல இடங்கள்ல power station, substation-ல testing engineer-ஆ வேலை பார்த்தேன். போன இடமெல்லாம் அடிப்படை அறிவியல் பத்தின கேள்விகள் வந்துட்டே இருந்துச்சு. I am an electrical engineer. After my diploma in EEE, I worked as a testing engineer in power stations and substations in Chennai, North India, Nigeria and Zambia. Wherever I went, questions about basic science kept coming up.
அப்போ தான் தோணுச்சு: அடிப்படை அறிவியல், சின்ன சின்ன formula-க்கள், இயற்கை எப்படி வேலை செய்யுது, இதெல்லாம் நம்ம எல்லாருக்கும் புரியணும். அதை யாருக்கும் எளிதா புரியுற மாதிரி, நம்ம மொழியில சொல்லணும். சொல்லிக்கிட்டே நானும் கத்துக்கணும். இது தான் இந்த வேலைக்கு காரணம். That is when I felt it: basic science, simple formulas, how nature works, all of us should understand these things. I want to explain them in our language, in a way anyone can follow, and keep learning myself as I do. That is the reason for this work.
2024-ல Instagram-ல ஆரம்பிச்சேன். முதல்ல திருக்குறள் பத்தி பேசினேன், அப்புறம் அறிவியல் பக்கம் வந்தேன். In 2024 I started on Instagram. I first spoke about Thirukkural, then moved to science.
ஒரு சொட்டு தண்ணியை microscope-ஆ மாத்துறது, கம்பளில உரசி விரல் நுனில மின்சாரம் வர வைக்கிறது, சுத்தியல் அடியையே தாங்குற ஒரு கண்ணாடி துளி, இப்படி வீட்டுல இருக்கிற பொருட்களை வெச்சே ரெண்டு வருஷத்துல 338 reels பண்ணியிருக்கேன். 5.7 கோடி பேர் பார்த்திருக்காங்க. எல்லாமே இலவசம். இதுக்கு நடுவுல சில விளம்பரங்கள் பண்ணி பார்த்தேன். ஆனா உங்க நம்பிக்கையை வெச்சு எதையோ விக்கிறது எனக்கு சரியா படல, அதனால நிறுத்திட்டேன். Turning a drop of water into a microscope, rubbing a wool blanket and drawing a spark from a fingertip, a glass drop that takes a hammer blow: with things from the house like these, I have made 338 reels in two years. 57 million people have watched them. All of them free. In between, I tried a few ads. But using your trust to sell something did not feel right to me, so I stopped.
